Back Bay Ringers can work with you to make your next event truly something special. Our organization is able to offer a traditional concert handbell ensemble or a handbell quartet for more intimate performance settings. We also offer workshops for handbell musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels. BBR Concerts
Back Bay Ringers’ full ensemble performs two concert seasons annually: a holiday season during December and a spring/summer concert season in May and June. We play in a variety of settings, including museums, libraries, and churches as well as traditional theaters and concert halls. Our full ensemble consists of twelve to fifteen ringers.
A variety of financial arrangements are possible for booking a BBR concert; flat performance fees vary according to time of year, travel distance required, and other logistical considerations. Our executive director will be able to quote a fee once they’ve learned more about your expectations.
Small Ensembles
BBR small ensembles (typically quartets, quintets, or sextets) perform year-round at a variety of public and private events, including open houses, cocktail parties, company Christmas parties, weddings, memorial services, and other commemorative ceremonies and celebrations. Performance fees vary according to time of year, travel distance required, repertoire requested, and other logistical considerations. Our executive director will be able to quote a fee once they’ve learned more about your expectations.
Workshops
Back Bay Ringers also offers educational workshops for handbell musicians at all levels. The following is just a sample of the workshops we have conducted in the past; please fill out the form at the right, and we can work with you to create a customized workshop for your church choir or community group. Pricing will vary according to the length of the workshop, the number of BBR personnel involved, and travel distance, as well as other logistical considerations. Our executive director will be able to quote you a price once they’ve had a chance to review your requests and requirements.
